Exchange of folktales between sister libraries

Yellow Professional Gradient User Persona Company Presentation 3

For the seventh year in a row, our library has been involved in the organization NAPLE – SISTER LIBRARIES that enables connections between European libraries. The purpose of the connection is to exchange good practices and knowledge of other nations and to spread culture beyond the borders of our place or country. Seven years ago, we signed a link with the Public library of Panevezys  in Lithuania, and last year with the Public Library Pyhajoen Kirjasto in Finland.

In February all three libraries are participating in an exchange of folktales from the local environment of each country. Folktales will be shared by libraries in audio and video form. Children from Lithuania and Finland will be presented to Škofja Loka’s folktale Lubnik and Lithuanian and Finnish tales in Slovene language. Bilingual folktales in Finnish and Lithuanian will be available for children from Škofja Loka to listen to on our website, podcast “S kitkom v svet pravljic” and the library’s Youtube channel.
